Smyrna may be outside of Nashville, but that doesn't mean there's any lack of things to do in this charming small town. It's home to many great restaurants, shops, and parks, as well as a few historical sites. Whether you're looking for a way to spend an afternoon while we are working on your roof repair in Smyrna, a great spot for lunch, or a local shopping center, Smyrna has what you need. We'll go over a few of our favorite local haunts below.

Visit Sharp Springs Park

This park is a great spot for a picnic lunch, taking a walk, or even just sitting and people-watching. It has something for everyone including a fishing pond and sports fields, and it's also one of the best places in Smyrna to play disc golf.

If you're feeling adventurous, there are also hiking trails that wind through the woods surrounding the 360-acre park. Just be sure to bring walking shoes and take care not to get lost.

Learn About the Sam Davis Home

This historic site is a must-see for anyone interested in the Civil War or local history. The Sam Davis Home was the boyhood home of Confederate soldier Sam Davis, who was captured and executed by Union soldiers during the war.

The home has been preserved as a museum, and it's open to the public for tours. Be sure to check the website for days and times, as the home is only open on certain days of the week.

Head to the Kidz Adventure Center

This is a great spot for kids of all ages, and it's one of the only indoor playgrounds in Smyrna. The Kidz Adventure Center has a wide variety of activities to keep little ones entertained, including an inflatable bounce house, a rock-climbing wall, and a soft play area.

There are also arcade games and a snack bar, making it the perfect spot to spend a rainy day.

Smyrna Outdoor Adventure Center

The Smyrna Outdoor Adventure Center is a great place to take the kids (or the kid at heart). This center has a wide variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, and kayaking.

There's also an indoor climbing wall and a ropes course, so you can still have fun even if the weather isn't cooperating.

Try Ice Cream a New Way at Rolled 4Ever Smyrna

This local ice cream shop is a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth. Rolled 4Ever Smyrna specializes in rolled ice cream, which is a Thai specialty. The ice cream is made fresh right in front of you, and you can choose from a wide variety of toppings.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can even try one of their milkshakes. These indulgent drinks are made with rolled ice cream, and they come in a wide variety of flavors.

Paul Johns Neighborhood Park

This is a great spot for a relaxing afternoon. The park has a walking trail, a playground, and a picnic area. It's also conveniently located close to a few housing developments, making it an easy walk from home for plenty of Smyrna residents.

The park is open from dawn to dusk, and it's the perfect place to take the kids on a nice day.
