A proud Iowa native and Valley High School athlete/alum, Alec brings his passion for helping homeowners to his role as an Exterior Specialist at Mighty Dog Roofing. With training in roofing, siding, gutters, and more, he’s committed to delivering expert guidance and top-tier service to the community he’s always called home. Outside of work, Alec is a musician who raps, produces, and plays piano and guitar — often accompanied by his dog, Mister Dude, his unofficial Mighty Dog mascot.

Born in Denver, Colorado and raised in Iowa, our Exterior Specialist is proud to call the Midwest home. A graduate of Valley High School, he brings a strong work ethic and hometown values to every job site.

Outside of work, he's a proud new dad to a baby daughter—his greatest joy in life. When he’s not spending time with his family, you can find him gaming or cheering loudly for his favorite football team. (SKOL Vikings! ???)

Your home is in great hands with Nick and his team. Nick is the local owner and operator of Mighty Dog Roofing of Greater Des Moines. Born and raised in West Des Moines, Nick lives in Waukee with his wife, three kids, and his Mighty Dog named Tater. When Nick is not climbing on roofs or flying drones across the neighborhood, you can find him spending time with his family and taking Tater on walks!

With an MBA from the University of Iowa, Nick has spent over 15 years as a successful project and product manager in the technology industry and brings a strong aptitude for problem solving and exceeding customer expectations

Born and raised in the Des Moines area, Jake spent his early years on the south side before moving to Altoona. He attended St. Anthony’s and swam competitively for Dowling until an injury led him to finish high school at Southeast Polk. After a brief time in the Marines, he found purpose in hard work across a wide range of industries. A lifelong learner and physics enthusiast, Jake enjoys D&D, video games, and working with his hands outdoors. He’s proud to be part of Mighty Dog, where integrity and helping people feel at home truly matter.

Originally from Columbia, South Carolina, our Exterior Specialist grew up in a military family, which meant calling many places home throughout childhood. Now settled in Ames, Iowa with his wife and daughter, he brings a strong sense of adaptability and commitment to every project.

With a passion for precision and customer care, he ensures every exterior project—from siding to roofing—is handled with expertise and integrity. When he's not on-site, you’ll likely find him enjoying quality time with his family or catching a baseball game.
