Our West Houston/Katy Team

Chris has been a successful executive, project manager and engineer at various oil & gas companies throughout his 30+ year career. Chris grew up in Scotland where he gained his Engineering and MBA degrees. Upon graduation, Chris joined a multi-national oil & gas company and went on to live and/or work in locations including UK, US, Russia, Canada, Norway, Ireland, and West Africa. Chris successfully led multi-billion dollar businesses and projects during his career and is skilled in business strategy, financial management, operations, project management and people management & development. Chris has spent more time living in Houston than any other location having moved there initially in 1997 and then again in 2001 and 2007. Houston is now very much home for the Cooper family that includes his wife Kimberley, two children, Estelle and Cael, and two dogs, Ziggy and Tashie. Chris is an avid sports fan, golfer, runner and enjoys DIY projects and sampling craft beer. Chris is a board member of Entrepreneurial Scotland (USA) and was appointed a Global Scot in 2013.

Ziggy is about 6 years old and was rescued from a local shelter after being found abandoned on a major highway. We call her a “Bitza” dog as she appears to have a multitude of different breed characteristics and features. She has a lovely sweet nature and flops over for tummy rubs at the first opportunity. She likes to chase squirrels, lizards and go for long walks in the woods.  

ROBERT AND JENNIFER YOUNG 

Robert and Jennifer have been married since 2006 and have been active members in the greater Katy area community longer than that. 

Jennifer has been successful within the energy industry as both an accountant and then as a recruiter.  She is currently involved with realtors and contractors in helping homeowners stage and update their homes for sale.  Most importantly in Jennifer’s eyes, she has spent her time deeply involved in the school community with her children.  She has served in numerous capacities, such as PTA President, Cinco Ranch Booster Club Department Lead, and a Board member on the Katy Council of PTAs.  Her passion for family and volunteering is the basis for the skill sets she brings to Mighty Dog.  

Robert has been a leader in the energy and natural gas industry for over twenty-five years, focusing on running physical pipelines and the energy software related to it.  As a leader in two separate Fortune 500 companies, he managed billion-dollar assets and staffs up to 50.  His leadership skills in the business world and passion for customer service drive his goals for Mighty Dog of Katy.  Robert’s need to give back to the community has been evident in his volunteer experiences over the years that have included coaching, years on the Katy Youth Basketball Board, and as an Athletic Booster Club Officer. 

Robert and Jennifer have also proudly raised two children in the Katy area.  Their goal is to establish Mighty Dog as not only a successful business, but a community involved leader in the greater Katy area.
