  • Timra Couto General Manager

    Timra is an experienced Sales Director with over 25 years working for an international, importing company and businesses from big box stores to small, seasonal pop-ups. She was previously the Project Manager for two large civil construction projects including the Permanent Canal Closure on Lake Pontchartrain and East Levee Restoration in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.

    “I treat everyone with respect and value all jobs and positions as important in an organization,” she said. “I believe faith, love and hope will bring joy to anyone.”

    Timra currently serves as the General Manager for Mighty Dog Roofing of Greater New Orleans. As a Partner, she led the company’s startup and has expanded services to include gutters, siding and windows.

    She is a member of National Women in Roofing and active in Business Network International (BNI) Louisia and the Home Builders Association of Greater New Orleans. She is certified in the FORTIFIED Roofing Program and is a certified drone pilot.

    Timra was born outside Florence, Ala., and grew up in Las Vegas, Nev. After high school, she moved to Denver, Colo., and then back to North Alabama to raise her children. Spending time in the "The Shoals," home to the Muscle Shoals Sound Studio and Fame Studios, she formed her love of music here.

    “My grandfather was from New Orleans, and I found myself visiting here more and more over the years,” Timra said. “It just felt comfortable, and I moved here permanently in 2010. I love the people, history and food.”

    She enjoys experiencing different landscapes, architecture and cultures through gardening, cooking, throwing clay and travel. In her free time, Timra enjoys creating things including making furniture.

    “I’m more of an artistic person. I’ve made sofas out of old antique doors,” she said. “I like to take old things and make them into things people want.”

    Timra has two, beautiful daughters, four amazing grandchildren and even two cool sons-in-law.

  • Darrin David Production Manager
    Darrin served in the U.S. Army and is a native of Cutoff, La. He received his bachelor’s degree in business management from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond. He has over

    20 years’ experience in the home improvement, sales and property management industries.

    A resident of Slidell, La., Darrin and his wife have four children. The family loves animals and has four dogs and one cat who are all rescues.

    He is an experienced project manager and is a graduate of Harry Friedman’s program in sales and multilevel management through The Friedman Group in Overland Park, Kan. Darrin and his wife have also found success with their own business flipping houses and property management.

    “I am always working to continue my education in the field and advance my skills in sales, customer relations, new products and business growth,” Darrin said. “I truly stand behind Mighty Dog’s mission to change the community’s outlook on roofing contractors and the home improvement products we provide.”

    He enjoys spending time with family and friends, hunting and fishing outdoors, and being part of the Krewe of Poseidon, the largest coed Mardi Gras Krewe on the Northshore.

  • Jovon Morris Exterior Specialist
    What gets Jovon going in the morning is putting his best foot forward to engage in what comes each day. His passion is bringing positive energy to every interaction with people, both professionally and leisurely, which guides him as he cares for our Mighty Dog customers. He believes a considerate heart leads to a well-balanced and diverse professional.

    When he’s not out rescuing roofs, Jovon enjoys traveling to new places, new food experiences, live music, engaging in worthwhile outdoor activities, art and sharing laughs with family and friends.

    Jovon has been part of his community since getting involved with his church at 10 years old. As an adult, he started his own nonprofit, “A Helping Nola Pedal,” proving him the opportunity to be an integral part of mental health and homeless outreach in is community.

    “I love the fact that my community makes sure everyone is ok and looks out for one another,” Jovon said. “Being from New Orleans and having a diverse group of friends, family and professional relationships from various parts of the city surrounding area allows me to be a lot more versatile in my ability to build relationships. Along with that, my community helps me continue to be able to adapt and adjust to different circumstances, people and environments.”
